Overview
Logiks Copilot works with the AI provider and models you choose — you can configure any number of them. Configuration is done through the Settings dialog (and, for advanced users, a configuration file).
Where to find it
Any app ▸ Logiks Copilot tab ▸ Task ▸ Settings
Adding models and services
- Get More opens the Logiks Copilot model catalogue, which shows additional AI models, special services and settings you can load into your configuration.
- Get Model/Special Service loads a model or special service from a URL or file.
- Switch Model swaps your primary and secondary model.
- Expert Configuration lets you edit all configuration variables in the underlying
.inifile.
Common settings
- Temperature — how creative the model is (around 0.2 for translations/corrections, around 0.8 for creative tasks).
- Timeout — how long to wait for the model (raise it for complex tasks).
- Two preset languages — used by the quick translate buttons (enter names in English).
- Interface language — English or German.
Tips
You can use models with reasoning for complex questions, models with internet search (such as Perplexity), or self-hosted models if you prefer to keep everything in-house. Settings can be changed for the current session or saved for future sessions.
