What it does
Shorten shortens your selected text, aiming to lose as little information as possible — dropping the less important parts first. You can specify by how much the text should be shortened, though the AI may not follow the length target exactly.
Where to find it
Word ▸ Logiks Copilot tab ▸ Task ▸ Shorten
How to use it
- Select the text you want to shorten.
- Click Shorten.
- Enter the degree of shortening (for example, a target percentage) when prompted.
- The shortened text replaces your selection.
Tips & requirements
- Treat the length target as a guide, not a guarantee.
- To remove only filler and redundancy rather than content, consider No Filler Words instead.
