What it does

Data Extractor extracts the information you define from a text file — or a whole directory of text files — and returns it as a table in Excel. This is ideal for series processing, such as extracting clauses across a due-diligence folder or building a timeline from many documents.

Where to find it

Excel ▸ Logiks Copilot tab ▸ Task ▸ Analyze ▸ Data Extractor

How to use it

  1. Open the Analyze menu and click Data Extractor.
  2. Choose the file or folder to process and define what to extract.
  3. Logiks Copilot writes the extracted data into your worksheet as a table.

Tips

Convert PDFs to text first (in Word, via Convert PDFs To Txt) if your source documents are PDFs.
