What it does

Correct linguistically corrects your text — not only spelling, but also grammar, punctuation and unsuitable word choices. Your meaning and writing style are preserved; Logiks Copilot only fixes what is wrong.

Where to find it

Word ▸ Logiks Copilot tab ▸ Task ▸ Correct Text/Files

How to use it

Correct selected text

  1. Select the text you want to correct.

  2. On the Logiks Copilot ribbon, open the Task menu and click Correct Text/Files.

  3. The corrected text replaces your selection. If markup is enabled, the edits appear as tracked changes so you can review and accept or reject them.

Correct a whole document or folder

  1. Make sure no text is selected — and that the target document is closed.

  2. Click Correct Text/Files and choose a single Word file or a folder of Word files.

  3. Logiks Copilot processes each file paragraph by paragraph. This preserves formatting better and runs unattended.

  4. Each corrected file is saved with a _corrected suffix, plus a _compare version that shows the differences against the original.

Replace vs. markup

  • By default the correction replaces the selected text. You can instead have changes shown as markup (tracked changes) — useful for reviewing corrections before accepting them.

  • Four markup methods are available (set under Settings); for longer texts some methods are faster than others. Press Esc to cancel a long-running markup.

Tips & requirements

  • For corrections we recommend a low model temperature (around 0.2) for more reliable, conservative edits — set this under Settings.

  • Correction quality depends on the AI model you have configured. See Choosing & configuring AI models.

  • To get a clean before/after comparison, open the generated _compare file.
